Privacy policy

UNSW Global – Consulting and Unisearch Expert Opinion Services (CEOS) recognises the importance of protecting personal information and is bound by the National Privacy Principles reflected in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 2000.

We collect personal information to establish and build a professional project management and consulting relationship with you. The personal information CEOS may collect includes your name, position, company, nationality, date of birth, address, contact details, bank account details, and your skills, expertise and qualifications. If you do not provide this information, or provide incomplete or inaccurate information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you are seeking.

Personal information may be shared amongst business units within UNSW Global. Our goal is to use the information you provide to better understand how your skills and abilities can be utilised for mutual benefit across our unique and diverse range of activities and services. The information may also be used in the submission of documents to our clients (including our client’s based overseas) for the purposes of obtaining paid project work. The types of submissions include:

• expressions of interest
• capability statements
• tenders

We will not disclose information about you unless the disclosure is:

• required or authorised by law; or
• related to the primary purpose for which it was collected from you and you would reasonably expect us to make such use or disclosure of the information; or
• made with your consent.

CEOS undertakes not to sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Considering the nature of our relationship with you, it is vital that your personal information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. To assist us with this, please contact us if any of the details you have provided change. Further if you believe that the information we have about you is not accurate, complete, or up-to-date, contact us and we will take all reasonable steps to correct the information. 

We acknowledge and respect your choice to opt-out of CEOS’s marketing, communication, and other activities. Should you decide you do not wish to receive marketing, promotion, or other contact from us, please comply with the opt-out instructions included with the material, or inform the staff member initiating the contact.

Please be aware that by signing the New Consultant Registration Form, you are providing UNSW Global with permission to approach your nominated referees, and agree that any information or opinion provided is confidential between CEOS and the referee.
